Lake Lucerne

After leaving the mountains, we packed up the van and headed for Lake Lucerne. We stayed in Beckenried at a cute hotel right on the lake front. Beckenried doesn’t have many shops or restaurants so most of our time spent there was at the hotel, lounging by the lake. We stayed there for 2 nights and ate at the hotel patio both nights. On our second day we drove into the city of Lucerne to do some sightseeing and shopping. Lucerne was really cool. There are two beautiful old foot bridges as well as the jesuit church that are all worth seeing. Marvin and I also found the best pasta for lunch at Pastarazzi. This place served a selection of ravioli to mix and match with your choice of sauce. I would go back again and again if I could!

Our second day at the lake was also my mom’s birthday! When we got back from the city we went to the patio for dinner where mom was serenaded with a lovely birthday song and given some ice cream treats. Our dinner view was stunning and a beautiful way to end our time at Lake Lucerne.
