When we were in Edinburgh we spent one of our days on a Harry Potter walking tour. We walked through the city checking out locations that may have inspired parts of the story or that J.K. Rowling spent time writing at. We walked through Greyfriars Kirkyard which was beautiful with the autumn leaves. We walked to viewpoints of the Edinburgh castle and the Balmoral Hotel where Rowling wrote the final few chapters of the series, and of course we made our way to Victoria Street. This was my favourite street in Edinburgh with some cool shops and restaurants and very colourful buildings.
When we continued onto London, my parents and I spent a full day watching the Cursed Child at the Palace Theatre. This was the most amazing show I’ve been to with such cool effects and many familiar characters! The show is in two full parts with a couple hours in between for dinner. Definitely a must see in London!
There are a few more Harry Potter locations I want to see around the UK while I’m here. There are a lot of film locations in Scotland so I’ve got a full list going of places to go!
